Privacy Policy
Last updated · June 28, 2026
This policy explains what we collect, why, and what choices you have. We try to keep data collection minimal and honest. We don't sell personal data and we don't run third-party advertising trackers.
You can manage your cookie choices any time on the Privacy Settings page.
1. What we collect
- Email address — when you subscribe, request the preview, or buy the book.
- Purchase details — order ID, amount, country, and payment status. Card data is handled by our payment processor; we never see or store it.
- Reading progress — chapter completion is stored in your browser so you can pick up where you left off. When you sign in, it syncs to your account.
- Basic analytics — anonymous page views, referrer, device class, and country, used to improve the site.
2. How we use it
- Deliver the book and product updates.
- Respond to support requests.
- Send the BricksNotes newsletter (only if you opt in — unsubscribe anytime).
- Understand which chapters readers find most useful, in aggregate.
3. Third-party services
We use a small number of trusted providers:
- Supabase — hosting, database, and authentication.
- Stripe — payment processing. We never see or store your card number.
- Resend — transactional email (your access code, refund confirmations).
- Privacy-friendly analytics — only loaded if you opt in via Privacy Settings.
4. Cookies and local storage
We use a minimal set of cookies and localStorage entries for: keeping you signed in, remembering theme and reading position, and (only with your opt-in) anonymous analytics. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Manage these on the Privacy Settings page.
5. Retention
Account data is retained while your account is active. Purchase records are kept for the duration required by tax and accounting law (typically 7 years in India). Newsletter subscriptions are removed when you unsubscribe.
6. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing hello@bricksnotes.com. We will respond within 30 days.
7. International transfers
Our infrastructure may process data in multiple regions. We rely on our providers' standard contractual clauses and equivalent safeguards.
8. Children
The Context Advantage is intended for working professionals. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
9. Changes to this policy
Material changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date. If changes materially affect you, we'll also email registered users.
